| Thank you for asking about me. In a nutshell...... |
| Leading the charge of baby boomers, I was born in Portland - which makes me a native Oregonian. When I was 11, my family moved to Redmond for health reasons (mine!) - and it worked! Growing up in Redmond for me meant having a horse and involvement in just about every 4-H Club known to man - from knitting to animals to community service.***After high school, I graduated from business school in Salem (Merritt Davis School of Commerce - no longer there), and went to work at the School for the Blind as the secretary to the Director. I married, went through a brief hippie stage (without drugs), and bought our first house. ***We moved to Salt Lake City for my husband's job so I could have our family and stay home with them. Our two boys were born 17 months apart, and when they were toddlers in 1976 we moved back to Central Oregon to be near their many grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. |
| I've seen a lot of real estate! |
| My real estate career began in 1981, working with my father in his real estate company. During that time when interest rates were pushing 20% most of the time and the economy of Central Oregon was slow to stopped, I learned a lot about being creative to help people buy and sell real estate. Nothing was simple during those times.***When Eagle Crest Resort opened west of Redmond in 1985, they hired local real estate licensees for the sales staff - and I went to try a new and different adventure. I met many great people there and many of those clients are still friends today.***In 1988, I returned to my real love, general estate.***In 1989, something bit me and I started a new real estate company in Redmond. It started as a fun little office in downtown Redmond and grew to one of the largest companies in town. In 1997, I joined with Windermere for the technical and moral support I needed to continue to grow.*** Owning a real estate company, I found out, is more than I really wanted to do by myself. So in 2000, I merged the Redmond office of Windermere with the Bend office. Though I continued to be in ownership, we employed a full time manager for day to day supervision. I liked being relieved of those duties so much that just last year I gave up ownership altogether. |

| In addition to my real estate experience, I've built several homes from the ground up and have participated in the construction of others. I've developed small subdivisions and been involved in land use actions. I am a real estate investor myself. I have regular contact with movers and shakers in the community through my involvement with Leadership Redmond (Class of 2005), Executive Board of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce, and Treasurer of Redmond Community Concert Association. I financially support both Redmond Economic Development (RED) and Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO).***Today I'm ready and willing to work for you, using my experience of the past 24+ years to bring about a picture perfect transaction for you. I take the time to take personal care for your benefit. Real estate is a full time endeavor for me, and I look forward to working with you. |
